The disaster Management centre states that 350 families in the Nuwara Eliya District have been displaced due to incessant showers experienced in the central hills.

 

Deputy director of the DMC Pradeep Kodipillai elaborating further had this to say.....

The meteorology department states that strong winds are expected over the country and neighbouring sea areas, particularly along the western slopes of the central hills.
