The Election Commissioner has advised all heads of State Bodies to appoint an Additional Secretary to each institution in charge of the use of vehicles and other state property during the election period.

An Election Commission spokesman stated that the Commissioner has also informed the heads of State Bodies to send him a list of names of such additional secretaries.

The duty of the Additional Secretaries in charge of the new job is to properly maintain a list of vehicles and other property that belong to the respective institutions and update the details as well.

If the Election Commissioner receives a complaint on abusing state property for the election campaign or promotion by some party, the Commissioner will refer the complaint to this particular Additional Secretary in order to verify such complaint.
