The TNA says that it has to discuss with the international forces to get a solution to the Provincial Council power issue unless the government gives a clear verdict.

TNA Chief Ministerial candidate C.V. Vigneswaran told this at a meeting held to educate the party candidates vying for the Northern PC election in Kilinochchi today.

Addressing another public meeting held in Kandy yesterday, Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the electricity bill could have been decreased had there been a UNP government in power.

Meanwhile Prime Minister D.M. Jayarathna said that the vote should not be cast for candidates on the basis of their race or creed.

Addressing a meeting held at Pussellawa today the Prime Minister said the more important quality of a candidate is his or her qualifications.
