Those who gave orders are still at large - Minor perpetrators forgiven, says Rookantha and Chandraleka

Popular vocalists Rookantha Gunatilaka and Chandraleka Perera have announced publicly that they forgive all those who harassed them and destroyed their private property in 2006.


Convening a media briefing in Colombo today, Rookantha Gunatilaka said that he was satisfied by the verdict the Court granted for their case.


However Rookantha said the persons who gave orders to harass his family are still at large.


He said he would inform the President of his decision in writing this evening.




10 suspects of the Rookantha Chandraleka harassment case were found guilty and jailed for 4 ½ years by Panadura High Court Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena recently.
