The Minister of Wildlife Vijith Vijayamuni Soyza has appointed a 5 member committee to look in to the record book of tamed elephants.

Speaking to our news team the Minister stated that since officials relevant to the matter were expressing contradictory views, steps were taken to appoint a committee headed by Prof. Sarath Kotagamage.
