Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon Ranjith Gunarathna stated that Sri Lankans who are to travel to Lebanon for employment should act only as per the advice of the Foreign Employment Bureau.

This is due to security concerns that have arisen in certain parts of Lebanon due to the conflict in Syria.

Around 30 persons were killed in Beirut in Lebanon recently in a large explosion, but there were no Sri Lankans hurt.

Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon Ranjith Gunarathna expressed these views.
