UNHR Commissioner Navaneethan-pillai says that development has taken place in the Northern Province.
The Commissioner points out that although she has come only to inquire about human rights in Sri Lanka, it was manifest to her during her observation that a development has taken place in the province.
UNHR Commissioner toured the North yesterday.
During the tour a progress review session was held at the Jaffna library yesterday under the leadership of Government officials including Northern Province Governor.
Navaneedan Pillai is scheduled to tour Trincomolee district today.
