Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa says that the decisions taken by the present government will decide the future destiny of the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a defense seminar organized by the Sri Lanka Army in Colombo this morning, he said the troops in the North will only be withdrawn gradually.
The Defense Secretary said that the LTTE Tamil Diaspora has successfully won the sympathy of certain international organizations, and the Sri Lanka visit by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay was also a result of the efforts of Tamil Diaspora.
The Defense Seminar organized by the Sri Lanka Army is held this year for the 3rd consecutive time after the humanitarian operation in 2009.
The theme of the seminar this year is post war Sri Lanka, challenges and regional stability.
