Election propaganda activities have been banned in the vicinity of centres at which postal voting will be conducted in relation to the forthcoming provincial council elections.

Deputy Elections Commissioner M M Mohommad stated that candidates are requested to respect the law.

Postal voting will be held on Monday and Tuesday while state employees who fail to cast their vote could do so on the 12th, 13th and 14th.

Deputy Elections Commissioner M M Mohommad expressed these views.

Local election monitors and a representative from each political party and independent group will be able to monitor postal voting.
