CID to investigate Cancer Hospital Hand Glove theft

The Health Ministry says that the CID is asked to investigate the incident in which a stock of hand gloves of Maharagama National Cancer Hospital found in a funeral parlor.

 

3 minor workers attached to the National Cancer Hospital were taken into custody in connection with the hand gloves incident.

 

The Ministry suspects a second group operating behind this racket and Minister Maithreepala Sirisena had instructed the officials to hand over the investigations to the CID.

 

Police arrested the owner of a funeral parlor in Maharagama yesterday in connection with the incident.

 

Later on the information during the questioning, police arrested the 3 minor workers.
