The Postal Department says that it has distributed 98 percent of the official ballot papers by now.
Deputy Postmaster General W.A.G. Wickramasinghe says that those who have not received their ballot papers could collect them from the nearest post office without delay.
He also said that the respective post offices in the 3 provinces where elections are held will be kept open on Saturday as well.
The dead line for election propaganda rallies was expired last midnight.
However PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi said that his Organisation received 8 election and election campaign related complaints even after the last midnight deadline.
The Election Secretariat has also received 5 complaints today from Killinochchi, Nuwara Eliya, Mannar, Kandy and Puttalam districts.
The Election Secretariat also says that candidates should remove their electoral offices from midnight today.
However each candidate can maintain one campaign office until the Election Day, and each political party also can maintain one office per district until the Election Day.
