President Mahinda Rajapaksa will address the inaugural sessions of the 68th UN General Assembly today at 11.30 Sri Lanka time.
Other leaders who will address the inaugural session today are UN Secretary General Ban Ke-moon, US President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande.
This will be the sixth time the President will address the UNGA, the first of which was in 2006.
In addition to taking part in the General Assembly, President Rajapaksa is also scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with UN Secretary-General Ban ki-Moon, Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma and several other leaders from countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Meanwhile President Rajapaksa, after his UN address, is expected to answer public questions over his Twitter Account.
The President Spokesman and International Media Unit stated in its communiqué that this program will start at 6.30pm tomorrow and continue for half and hour.
