3 candidates of Sarath Fonseka’s Democratic Party and the Janasetha Peramuna who contested from the Puttalam district have started a fast today in front of the Puttalam District Secretariat.

2 bags of marked ballot papers which were abandoned at the St.Andrew Vidyalaya were found yesterday.

Following the incident, the candidates demand the Election Commissioner to declare the Puttalam district vote null and void and call for fresh poll for the district.
