Video :Rathupaswala Glove factory will not be opened.

The Managing Director of the controversial glove factory at Rathupaswala in Weliweriya assured the Court that the factory will not be reopened until the final decision is given on the investigation reports.


An investigation Committee presided by the Gampaha District Secretary was also appointed to look into this factory.


In addition, reports were called from 11 institutions in this regard including reports from the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau and the Government Analyst.


The case on the Rathupaswala incident was taken before Gampaha Additional Magistrate Heshan de Mel today.


The case will be taken for hearing again on 28th November.
