Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha members wear black belt and protest.

Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha members wore black belts to participate in the Sabha session today in protest of the surcharged imposed on them by the Auditor General Department.


The surcharge has been imposed in order to reclaim some money over a cheque dated 20th of January, 2010.


The PS members stated that they are not ready to pay the surcharge and asked the authorities to claim it from M. Kulaweera who held the PS chairman position during that period.
