Teachers of Dehi Ovita Circuit Education Division have gone on sick leave today in protest of an assault on 3 protesters including the Education Workers Association Treasurer during a recent protest in Ruwanwella.

Teachers of Rajasinghe Maha Vidyalaya staged a protest in Ruwanwella town on Wednesday against a businessman who allegedly threatened the school principal with death for warning his son over indiscipline behavior.

Education Workers Association Treasurer Roshan Priya Shantha Premasiri said that 2 supporter of the accused businessman unleashed the attack on him during the protest in Ruwanwella.
