The people’s forum held parallel to the 2013 CHOGM ends today.

At the forum discussion was held with regard to social and civil problems affecting the region.

While 150 foreign representatives participated in the forum, 250 local representatives took part in it.

By now a draft report has been prepared about matters discussed throughout four days at the people’s forum held at the Galle Fort.

People’s Forum subcommittee chairman Dr. Lalith Chandradasa told our news team that obtaining approval for the draft from regional representatives who participated in the forum would take place today.

The subcommittee chairman also said that the draft is scheduled to be submitted to CHOGM.

Meanwhile foreign media reported that Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Raamgulaam would not participate in CHOGM held in Sri Lanka.
