It was testified again before Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage that parliamentarian R. Dumindha Silva was first to receive gun shots during the Mulleriyawa incident.

Police constable Kalu Baddanage Hemantha Kumara testified yesterday as the 4th eye witness of the incident.

The witness said that he saw Bharatha Lakshman was running for cover behind his jeep while MP R. Dumindha Silva was lying on the ground after being shot, and bleeding in his forehead.

During the cross-examining, President Counsel Hemantha Warnakulasooriya asked the witness how long the incident continued.

The witness said it took only a short time.

Then the President Counsel questioned whether the witness was present at the spot where the incident took place.

Answering the question, the witness said that he was present at the spot.

Then the Attorney-At-law questioned again whether any altercation took place between MP R Dumindha Silva and Bharatha Lakshman.

The witness said that he saw an altercation between the two but did not hear clearly what it was about.

He said that he heard a report of a gun and saw Bharatha Lakshman was running for cover behind his jeep.

He said that he saw later MP R. Dumindha Silva was lying on the ground after being shot, and bleeding in his forehead.

Afterwards, the Attorney-At-law questioned whether was it true that the witness heard other reports of gun after Dumindha Silva was shot at.

The witness answered in the affirmative.

The case will be taken for hearing on the 2nd of December.
