Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP says that he had never done any wrong to India.

He expressed these views when we inquired from KP regarding rumours that the Indian Intelligence was likely to question him.

The Hindustan times stated that Indian Intelligence was looking forward to question KP regarding the Rajeev Gandhi assassination and also that there was an international arrest warrant against his name.

However, Director General of the Media Centre for National Security Lakshman Hulugalle stated that no official request has been received from India on such a matter.

India's Central Bureau of Investigation expects to question KP

The India’s Central Bureau of Investigation is still expecting to question former chief arms procurer for the LTTE Kumaran Padmanathan alias KP in connection with the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.

A CBI official has told the Hindustani Times that the Interpol has also issued a warrant order on KP.

The Officer said that KP is wanted by the Tamil Nadu Police as well for questioning him on a separate complaint.

However KP was interviewed by the CBI last year and he told the CBI officials during the interview that Rajiv Gandhi assassination was ordered by LTTE leader Prabhakaran.

When contacted Director General of the Media Center for National Security Lakshman Hulugalle to comment on this report, he said that Indian CBI has not made any request from the government yet that it wants to interrogate KP on the Rajiv Gandhi assassination.
