Video: 22nd Commonwealth Meeting concludes; Prince Charles departs

The 22nd Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting concludes in Colombo today.


Programmes coinciding with CHOGM including the Commonwealth Business Forum, Youth Forum and Public Forum were held from the 10th of this month.


Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa was appointed as the Chairperson of the Commonwealth for the next 2 years.


However, another cordial discussion among Commonwealth Heads of Government will be held today at the BMICH, upon which the final executive level discussion would be held.


Accordingly a final report will be prepared taking in to consideration all important matters discussed from the 10th onwards.


Thereafter a media briefing will be held under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma to inform regarding the important decisions reached during the summit.


Meanwhile, Britain’s Prince Charles who visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa and Peradeniya gardens left the island last night.
