Policeman+on+duty+dies+at+Lunugamvehera+quarry
A police officer on guard duty at a quarry of a China Habour Engineering firm based in Lunugamvehera has died yesterday.

 

Police media spokesman office stated that the police officer has died as a result of a piece of rock hitting his chest following a quarry blast.  

 

The critically injured officer was pronounced dead after being admitted to Hambantota Base Hospital.

 

The 25 year old police officer was a resident of Thalathuoya, attached to the Lunugamvehera Police Station.
