Video: JVP in discussion to boycott budget speech. Budget-2014

Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today, JVP propaganda secretary MP Vijitha Herath said that his party is currently holding discussions with the Democratic National Alliance regarding a boycott of the budget speech which is scheduled to be presented in parliament tomorrow.

The JVP is represented in parliament by 3 MPs namely Vijitha Herath, Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Sunil Handunnetti.

The JVP contested the previous general election under the Democratic National Alliance ticket, and MP Jayantha Ketagoda represents the Democratic National Alliance in parliament.

Meanwhile UNP MP Ajith P Perera said that his party will take a decision at the parliament group meeting tomorrow morning whether to stay in parliament during the budget speech.

However the TNA said that its MPs will attend parliament during the budget speech tomorrow.
