Mirigama PS budget is also defeated - Only the PS Chairman voted for.

The budget proposal presented to the UPFA controlled Mirigama Pradeshiya Sabha was defeated by 19 majority votes today.

Out of 12 UPFA members, 11 members voted against the budget.

Mirigama PS Chairman Ananda Premachandra Ranaweera was the only UPFA member to vote in favor of the budget.

There are 9 UNP members in the Mirigama PS and 8 members voted against the budget while the other one was absent at the meeting today.

There are 2 more members to represent the JVP and an Independence Group of the 23 member Mirigama PS who were also absent at today’s meeting.
