Farmer who climbed a tree demanding land once again on a coconut tree

The protest that was initiated by an individual by climbing on to a tree in Dolamite estate in Rajawella – Digana is still in place.

He has commenced this protest alleging that a land that was cultivated by him throughout 8 years has been taken over by the Divisional Secretary of Kudasale.

The farmer – T G Jayarathna even won the award for the best farmer in 2011 and stated that no official had assist in solving the issue.
