Video: Sri Lankans are not ready to be subject to invasions - says the President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that Sri Lanka is one of the countries which treat its supremacy of independence and sovereignty at its optimum level.

He stressed that Sri Lankans are not at all ready to live in fear of foreign invasions.

He was speaking at a ceremony to unveil a statue of a Communist Revolutionary leader and former prime minister and president of Vietnam at the Colombo Public Library premises this morning.

The President further said that Mahinda Chinthana was enriched with the ingredients gathered from the peoples’ freedom struggles in the country.
