Minister Basil reveals countries shedding crocodile tears

The second reading of the budget was passed in parliament with a majority of 99 votes yesterday.

154 members voted for the budget while 55 voted against it.

The debate over the second reading of the budget ended yesterday and the committee level debate will start on the 2nd of December.

Meanwhile, Minister Basil Rajapaksa addressing parliament stated that certain foreign countries were shedding crocodile tears on Sri Lanka.
