Police states that the fire that erupted in a temporarily built building at the BMICH premises is not sabotage.

Police Media spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana stated that the Government analyst report has confirmed that it is not sabotage and the fire occurred due to a petrol leak from an Owen.

BMICH has been under renovation for two years, therefore special events during this period have been held at this temporary building in the premises.

It was this building that caught on fire.

An exhibition was organized in this hall with the participation of new inventors, investors and entrepreneurs.

The chief guest for the occasion was Minister of Power and Energy.

However, firefighters who rushed to the location of the fire managed to completely douse the flames within a few hours.

Activities at BMICH are carried out as usual

According to the authorities, even though a temporary building was gutted in the premises of BMICH this morning, other activities of BMICH are carried out with no interruption.

The fire has been extinguished completely.

Fire at BMICH - Temporary building suffers heavy damages

A fire broke out this morning at a temporary building in the premises of the BMICH.

According to our news reporter, the fire broke out at a hall where an exhibition was to be opened today.

The Fire brigade has sent fire engines to the premises and has brought the fire under control.

Expressing his views regarding the incident from the premises, the Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that the fire has destroyed all the equipment within a hall.

BMICH has been under renovation for two years, therefore special events during this period have been held at this temporary building in the premises.

It was  this building that caught on fire.

An exhibition was organized in this hall with the participation of new inventors, investors and entrepreneurs.

A fire has broke out at a temporary building located within the BMICH premises this morning.

According to our reporter at the scene, the fire broke out within a hall where an exhibition was to be held today.

The fire brigade has already sent some fire engines to the scene, to extinguish the fire.
