Sri Lanka warns on Jayalalitha's fisheries policy

Fisheries Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunarathna questions if Tamilnadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha Jayaram is not aware that Tamilnadu fishermen are arrested for violating the maritime border.

The Deputy Minister points out that the Tamilnadu fishermen are stealing Sri Lanka’s maritime resources.

Deputy Fisheries Minister Sarath Kumara Gunaratne stated that 154 Sri Lankan fishermen are also under Indian Custody and they have not yet been released.

He pointed out that Jayalalitha as misled the Indian government and security officials as well.
