Singer Saman De Silva has lodged a complaint with the Boralla police stating that the Southern Province Agriculture Minister attacked him during a musical show organised by the Prisons department at the Walikada prison grounds.

When inquired by Saman De Silva, he said that the provincial Minister attacked him while he was singing a song on stage.

Southern Province Agriculture Minister Bindu Weerasingha said that the singer had criticised Minister Chandrasiri Gajadeera on stage.

However, Provincial Minister stated that no one was attacked on stage.

When we queried from a senior official from the Prisons department, he stated that the provincial minister was under the influence of alcohol during the incident.

However, Minister Chandrasiri Gajadeera has advised the prisons commissioner general to carry out an investigation.
