Island-wide raids to nab errant soft drink sellers

The Consumer Affairs Authority launched island-wide raids from today to nab traders who sell soft drinks at high prices.

The Authority stated that the raids were started on the directive of Cooperative and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando.

It also stated that the Authority often received public complaints saying that soft drinks, bottled water and packets of juices are sold at different high prices to that of their maximum retail price.
