The Examinations Department said that organizing and holding tuition classes and  conducting subject-related lectures relevant to the GCE O/Level examination would be absolutely forbidden from mid-night today till the end of the examination.

Similarly holding workshops, distributing sample question papers and displaying  posters and banners and distributing  handbills to the effect that questions similar to the examination questions would be provided will be banned.

All police station OIC’s  DIGs have already been informed of this.

The Examination Department announced that the nearest police station be informed if any information about any individual or institution that violates these instructions becomes available.

Similarly such information could also be furnished through telephone number 1911.

Private tuition and model answer papers distribution prohibited from tomorrow

Tuition classes, distribution of model question and answer papers and displaying banners and posters targeting the GCE O/L examination will be prohibited with effect from tomorrow midnight.

The Department of Examination stated that these steps were taken to prevent possible irregularities.

Meanwhile the Examination Department expects to release the GCE A/L results of this year before the 24th of this month.
