Video : Wigneswaran submits a report to UN

Special Representative of the United Nations in Geneva on the Internally Displaced Persons Chaloka Beyani said that he is studying the Sri Lankan government’s process of resettling the displaced persons in the North.

He made this statement after touring in the Northern Province today.

UN Special representative Chaloka Beyani first met with North Provincial Governor Major General G.A. Chandrasiri and later proceeded to meet Jaffna District Secretary Sundaram Aruminayagam.

Finally Chaloka Beyani had discussions with Northern provincial Council Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran.

After the meeting with the UN Representative, Chief Minister Wigneswaran stated that he explained everything about the people living in the north, including facts about their living condition and resettlement.
