Rajangana PS Chairman considered as resigned following 2nd defeat of budget

The Commissioner for Local Government in the North Central Province says that Rajangana Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman W. Prabhath Vitharana is considered as he resigned from his post after the budget was defeated at the second time.

Local Government Commissioner W.A.T. Manel said that she has already written to Prabhath Vitharana in this regard.

The budget for next year presented by the UPFA controlled Rajangana Pradeshiya Sabha was defeated with majority votes on October 24.

Later the budget was defeated by 4 votes when it was presented at the second time on the 21st of November.

In addition, Peliyagoda and Mirigama Pradeshiya Sabha budgets for next year have also been defeated after they were presented at the second time.

At the same time, the new budgets presented by Kesbewa Urban Council, Alawwa and Ambilipitiya Pradeshiya Sabhas have now been defeated on the first occasion.
