A special briefing for ambassadors and high commissioners

A briefing of ambassadors and high commissioners resident in Sri Lanka with regard to Sri Lanka’s current trends took place in Colombo yesterday.

That was under the patronage of Foreign Affairs Minister Professor G. L. Peiris and Presidents Secretary Lalith Weeratunga.

Matters with regard to implementing of decisions taken at the recently concluded CHOGM were also discussed on this occasion.

Issuing a communiqué the Foreign Affairs Ministry said that the Foreign Affairs Minister had briefed the diplomats about steps that should be taken to implement those measures successfully.

On this occasion the Foreign Affairs Minister explained the activities taking place particularly in the Northern Province and also the steps the Government had taken for resolving the land issues.
