Members of UPFA controlled local govt bodies summoned to Colombo after they defeated 2014 budgets.

The UPFA has decided to summon members of all government controlled Pradeshiya Sabhas to Colombo after their budgets for 2014 were defeated recently.

UPFA General Secretary Minister Susil Premajayantha said that all UPFA members of government controlled Pradeshiya Sabhas where their budgets were defeated have been called to Colombo.

Local government bodies of Medawachchiya, Imbulpe, Wattala and Kesbewa have been defeated at the first time.

Earlier, the Chairmen of government controlled Peliyagoda Urban Council, Mirigama, Rajangana and Ambilipitiya Pradeshiya Sabhas lost their positions after their budgets for 2014 were defeated for the second time.

Minister Premajayantha also said that the UPFA members of the local government bodies where their chairmen lost positions will also be summoned to Colombo for discussion over future actions.
