37 individuals were injured as a result of a collision that took place between a private bus and a Sri Lanka Transport Board bus near the Thalgasmota region along the Nittambuwa – Weyangoda main road.

The injured have been admitted to the Wathupitiwala hospital and a spokesperson for the hospital stated that 4 of the injured are in serious condition.

2 Buddhist monks, 2 school students, 14 women and 19 men are amongst those injured.
