DNA investigations to be carried out via the Government Analyst’s Department

The Sri Lankan Parliament expressed its condolences today at the demise of former South African President Nelson Mandela who fought against racism.

Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa presenting the condolence message stated that Nelson Mandela has rendered a remarkable service towards global democracy.

Meanwhile, Minister of Justice Rauf Hakeem announced in parliament that from January next year DNA investigations will be carried out via the Government Analyst’s Department.

The minister expressed this during the committee meeting debate of expenditure heads concerning the Ministries of Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms, Justice and Foreign Affairs.
