Baghdad bombings leave 39 dead

Car bombs have killed at least 39 across Iraq and more than 120 people have been injured.

The bombs mainly targeted busy commercial streets in and around the capital.  

The deadliest attack took place in the predominantly Shia Muslim district of Bayaa in Baghdad.

In Bayaa, a bomb in a parked vehicle exploded near car workshops, seven people were killed and 14 injured.
