Problems for Opposition regarding farmer pension age

Yesterday was the 8th day of the committee stage debate on the 2014 budget.

Heads of expenditure of Traditional industries and small enterprise development, Agriculture, water resource management and industry and commerce ministries were taken for debate.

Agriculture Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana requested from the opposition to forward their proposals regarding the seed act that will be introduced in the near future.

Meanwhile, ideas were expressed with regard to increasing the farmer pension from 60 years to 63 years.
