Four arrested for transporting Kohomba timber

Four persons transporting a load of Kohomba timber concealed as wood in a lorry were arrested and the load of timber have been seized by police yesterday.

The lorry was heading from Aandigama, Anamaduwa to Colombo and they were arrested in Pallegama.

The arrested four are residents of Galkuliya and Nagawila areas.

It has been revealed through initial investigations that the smugglers have been transporting timber for some time.
