Opposition Leader of Anuradhapura Urban Council released on police bail

Anuradhapura Urban Council Opposition Leader Indika Aruna Kumara who was accused of threatening and attempting to assault the Anuradhapura Urban Council Commissioner has been released on police bail.

He has been informed to appear before Anuradhapura Magistrate on the 17th of this month.

A complaint had been made against Indika Kumara alleging that he threatened Commissioner Rohana Dharmadasa and attempted to assault him when the vote taking for the budget was held on the 9th of December.

Accordingly, the Council Opposition Leader surrendered to police today and late given bail.
