Video : Permission for 3 investors including James Packer to build hotels along D.R. Wijewardhana Road

A special gazette notification has been issued permitting three investors including Australian businessman James Packer to build hotels only along D. R. Wijewardhana Road.

A senior Investment Promotion Ministry spokesman said that it would in no way be possible to conduct gambling or betting in these hotels.

The Government Press too confirmed that the Investment Promotion Ministry had sent this gazette announcement for printing.

The Investment Promotion Ministry said recently that a gazette paper granting tax relief for building a hotel complex sans casino under the Strategic Development Act would be put forward.

On this occasion the Ministry said that tax relief would be given to the hotel project proposed to be built along D. R. Wijewardhana Road under a 400 million US dollar investment.

The project connected with Australian businessman James Packer is implemented by the firm  ‘Lake Leisure Holding’
