The strike launched by Milko factory workers on 6 demands including a year end bonus enters its second day today.

Workers attached to its branches at Narahenpita, Digana, Polonnaruwa and Ambewela have joined the strike.

Milko SLFP Trade Union Media Spokesman Rohan Gunasekera stated that the meeting held with the participation of several ministers yesterday also failed.

Meanwhile Bodu Bala Sena charges that the director board of the Milko Company is engaged in unlimited corruption and other irregularities at a time the company is making heavy losses.

Its Secretary Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera said that Milko Deputy Chairman Sanjaya Leelarathna has abused company finances.
