Thalatha Athukorala refuses Leadership Council once again

Monday, 23 December 2013 - 13:14

UNP MP Thalatha Athukorala says that a supreme council instead of a leadership council could have been set up to take firm policy decisions towards the party victory.

She also said that Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, MPs Karu Jayasuriya and Sajith Premadasa should have been appointed to this council.

Issuing a communiqué, MP Athukorala said that such a conscious body is more practicable and applicable than the present leadership council which consists of several members without necessary powers.
