The TNA says that a final decision with regard to participating in the parliamentary select committee for solving the national problem was taken at its annual convention held in Vavuniya yesterday.

TNA MP M. A. Sumanthiran said that discussion was held on factors that made the current Select Committee insufficient to solve the problem.

The TNA annual convention began at the Vavuniya Urban Council Cultural Theatre Hall at about 9.30 a.m. with TNA leader R. Sambandan at the chair and ended at about 6.30 p.m.

However leader of a TNA partner party TUELF, V. Aananda Sangari had not been invited for the convention.

Responding to a query of our news team, the TUELF leader said that currently there was no democracy within the TNA.
