TNA prepares for Geneva; Objective is evil - alleges patriots
The Tamil National Alliance states that an internal inquiry should be carried out regarding the last phase of the war before the human rights summit scheduled to be held in Geneva in March.
TNA Northern Provincial Councilor M. K. Sivajilingam stated that unless such an inquiry is carried out, an international inquiry maybe launched against Sri Lanka.
However, certain media sources reported that a proposal against Sri Lanka is being prepared in Canada and will be presented at the human rights summit in Geneva and that several representatives of the TNA including its leader R. Sambandan will take part in it.
Our news team inquired from the leader of the TNA R. Sambandan regarding this and in response he did not confirm that the TNA will take part in such discussions or the human rights summit in Geneva.
Our news team also inquired from TNA parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran whether the TNA is preparing to act against Sri Lanka during the human rights summit.
In response he stated that his party has not made definitive decision whether to take part in the Geneva summit but that the topic was discussed during the convention held in Vavuniya recently.
Meanwhile, the Indian news service TPI reported that the TNA is acting towards initiating an international inquiry during the human rights summit in Geneva and that TNA MP Suresh Premachandran had stated that steps are being taken to inform the international and diplomatic community regarding this.
However, the National Patriotic Movement states that the TNA is engaging in a conspiracy against the country.
