The condition of the student of the Panaamura Mahaa-vidyaalaya in Ambilipitiya who was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital with serious injuries near his left eye as a result of a javelin piercing his head is now stable.

Colombo National Hospital said that the surgery performed on the student was successful.

This accident had taken place during a training session where the javelin had pierced 6 inches in to the childs skull.

The student, Gayan Madushanka even qualified for the  all island final round of the shot put.

Health of student who was struck in the face by a javelin stable

The condition of the student of the Panaamura Mahaa-vidyaalaya in Ambilipitiya who was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital last afternoon with serious injuries near his left eye as a result of a javelin piercing his head is improving.

This accident had taken place during a training session.

The student was sent to the National Hospital following primary treatment at the Ambilipitiya Base hospital including cutting away and removing a part of the javelin.

Colombo National Hospital Director Dr. Anil Jaasinghe said that a surgery was also performed on the student.

An urgent surgery in Colombo on the Ambilipitiya student whose face had been pierced with a javelin

A student of the Panaamura Mahaa-vidyaalaya in Ambilipitiya was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital last afternoon with serious injuries near his left eye as a result of a javelin piercing his head.

This accident had taken place during a training session.

The student was sent to the National Hospital following primary treatment at the Ambilipitiya Base hospital including cutting away and removing a part of the javelin.

The student who thus faced this accident was 17-year old K. H. Gayaan Madhusanka.

Javelin passes through 19 year old student's eyes.

A 19 year old student from Panamura Central College was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital after a Javelin past through his eyes during practise.
