6.5 million worth foreign currency confiscated at airport

The Katunayaka Airport customs have confiscated 6.5 million Rupees worth foreign currency which was to be illegally smuggled out of the country to India.

A female Seychelles national was arrested this morning while trying to head out to Trichy.

US Dollars, Singapore Dollars and Euro’s were found in 9 packets.
