Gal Oluwa Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi Temple’s Chief incumbent Teri Pehe Siri Damma Thera said that the subject minister agreed to supply the affected people in Rathupaswala water at a connection fee of 3 thousand rupees.

Addressing a media briefing held at the Temple today, the Thera said that Minister Dinesh Gunawardana came to this agreement following a discussion he had with the minister yesterday.

When our news team contacted the Minister to comment on the matter, he said that he will issue a press release with regard to the decision in the course of time.

Meanwhile a group of residents of Rathupaswala are staging a protest against the stoppage of water that supplied to the needy people using bowser trucks and not providing pipe borne water to the area as promised earlier by the authorities.

Convener of the Jana Neguma Organization to protect Siyane waters and UNP Pradeshiya Sabha member Pramitha Hetti Archchi expressed his views during the protest at Balummahara Junction.
