Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana states that bone fragments belonging to approximately 30 individuals have been discovered from excavations carried out in the mass grave found near the Thirukedeshwaram Kovil in Mannar.

Upon inquiry by our news team, he further stated that inquiries are being carried out whether the LTTE is responsible for this mass grave.

Investigations regarding this mass grave were initiated after several workers discovered a human skull and bone fragments while laying water pipes along the access road to the Thirukedeshwaram Kovil which is situated near the Mannar A – 32 main road.
